Conad Adriatico announces €270 million investment plan

Conad Adriatico has unveiled a development plan involving over €270 million in investments scheduled between 2026 and 2028. The funds are earmarked for expanding and modernizing its retail network, improving logistics, advancing technological innovation, and enhancing professional skills.

The announcement follows a period of significant growth for the cooperative, which reported a 27% turnover increase over the last five years. In 2025, the cooperative closed with a turnover exceeding €2.35 billion, representing a 4.83% increase. Currently, Conad Adriatico operates 446 points of sale with approximately 9,000 employees, holding a 17.64% market share and maintaining its position as the leading retailer in Abruzzo, Marche, and Molise.

The strategic direction was discussed during the cooperative’s Autumn Meeting, titled ‘Roots and Responsibility. Cooperating in a changing world’. The event brought together entrepreneurial members and industry experts to analyze macroeconomic scenarios, evolving consumer behaviors, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the retail sector.
