Conade faces new FGR complaint over 65 million pesos

The National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (Conade) faces a new complaint filed with the Attorney General's Office (FGR) regarding an alleged misappropriation of 65 million pesos. The investigation stems from an audit of the 2022 Taekwondo World Cup held in Guadalajara, Jalisco, which identified irregularities in the management of public funds allocated to the event.

This latest complaint brings the total amount of alleged irregularities attributed to the administration of former Conade head Ana Gabriela Guevara to approximately 544 million pesos. Authorities noted that while these findings have prompted federal investigations, the current allegations do not yet constitute proven criminal responsibility, as the FGR must still determine if there are sufficient elements to establish administrative or criminal liability.
