CONADE upgrades training equipment and announces Veracruz as 2027 host

Mexico's National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE) is implementing several initiatives to support national athletes and regional sports hosting. At the National Center for the Development of Sports Talents and High Performance (CNAR), Director General Rommel Pacheco delivered new specialized sports equipment and materials to the wrestling department to modernize training processes and prepare athletes for international competitions.

In a separate development, Veracruz has been selected to host the 2027 National Olympics. This marks the state's return to CONADE-sanctioned national competitions following a period of exclusion due to financial irregularities and debts stemming from the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games. Governor Rocío Nahle García announced that 13 disciplines will be hosted across the municipalities of Veracruz, Xalapa, Orizaba, and Tuxpan, utilizing facilities such as the Leyes de Reforma sports complex.
