CONAF to track entrepreneurial decisions as early economic indicators

The National Confederation for Female Entrepreneurship (CONAF) is introducing a new component to measure entrepreneurial decisions during its National Forum, ‘De Vocație Antreprenoare’. This initiative aims to capture economic shifts before they manifest in official statistical indicators.

Cristina Chiriac, the founding president of CONAF, stated that while economic indicators show where the economy has been, entrepreneurial decisions—such as whether to invest, hire, delay, or abandon a project—can indicate where it is headed. The mechanism seeks to observe the economy as it forms through management decisions regarding technology adoption, capital allocation, and labor market changes.

The first stage of this third edition of the forum took place in Suceava on August 28. The observation mechanism will be integrated into upcoming stages of the forum in Sibiu, Piatra Neamț, Arad, and Ploiești.
