Conagua monitors possible low‑pressure system on Michoacán coast

Mexico's National Water Commission (Conagua) in its Michoacán delegation is tracking a potential low‑pressure system developing over the Pacific Ocean. Director Luis Roberto Arias Reyes said forecasts show a 40 % chance of cyclonic development within the next seven days, which could bring rain to Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero and Oaxaca.

Conagua is keeping a close watch on the region's reservoirs, noting that the average level of the 24 dams in Michoacán stands at 56.35 %. The agency is also monitoring river flows and drainage systems and is coordinating with civil protection authorities and the federal government to implement preventive measures during the rainy season.
