CONALEP expands enrollment to 8,500 seats and graduates 3,200 students in Mexico

The National College of Professional Technical Education (CONALEP) in Chihuahua announced that its Juárez campus now offers 8,500 study places for the 2024‑2025 school year, a 120 % increase from previous years. About 800 seats remain available in the CAST program, with tuition of 2,400 pesos and a transport scholarship of 3,800 pesos. New students will receive bilingual instruction, digital textbooks and training in artificial‑intelligence tools.

In Coahuila, CONALEP graduated more than 3,200 students across nine campuses. Director Alfio Vega de la Peña highlighted the institution’s dual‑education model, which currently involves 669 learners and partnerships with 137 companies in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive and data science. The graduating cohort is expected to enter the regional labour market or continue higher‑education studies. For the upcoming school cycle, CONALEP plans to admit roughly 3,100 new students and maintain its facilities for an overall enrollment of about 11,000.

Both programs aim to strengthen technical‑skill development and improve employability for young Mexicans.
