CONALEP Sinaloa joins CODESIN initiative to boost regional economy

CONALEP Sinaloa has joined the ‘Sinaloa 10+’ initiative led by the Council for Economic Development of Sinaloa (CODESIN). The partnership aims to position Sinaloa among the top 10 most competitive economies in Mexico by 2050 by aligning technical training with regional economic needs.

During a recent visit to CONALEP facilities, CODESIN’s Director of Public Policy, Carolina Barraza Zambada, highlighted the institution’s use of dual education, drones, and artificial intelligence in student training. The collaboration seeks to strengthen the link between academic offerings and the productive sector through the ‘Sinaloa Talent’ strategy.

Rigoberto Velázquez Elenes, Director of CONALEP, stated that the institution will serve as a strategic arm for human resource development. CONALEP currently operates 20 campuses across 12 municipalities, offering 29 different careers and technical certifications. A proposed liaison committee involving CODESIN may be established to ensure student and graduate placement meets industry demands.
