Concanaco Servytur Mexico rolls out national pact to support small businesses

The Confederación de Cámaras Nacionales de Comercio, Servicios y Turismo (Concanaco Servytur Mexico) has launched a national pact aimed at protecting and strengthening small businesses across Mexico. The initiative includes measures such as enhanced protection against extortion through the 089 anonymous reporting line, a single‑window service to streamline administrative procedures for opening and operating commercial establishments, and broader access to financing for micro‑, small‑ and medium‑size enterprises.

The pact was presented in Pachuca, where local officials and business leaders highlighted seven focus areas: combating extortion, simplifying administration, promoting useful digitalisation, improving real access to credit, offering a growth‑stimulating tax regime, facilitating formalisation in social security, and boosting local consumption. The programme is supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum and extends to the 84 municipalities of Hidalgo, including its nine “pueblos mágicos.” The effort targets the sector that constitutes roughly 95 % of Mexico’s economic units.

A national tour involving chambers of commerce, academia and civil society will promote the tools and resources of the pact, aiming to reduce obstacles for entrepreneurs and enhance the overall business climate.
