Conceição da Barra Hosts Brazil’s Largest Quilombola Feijoada Festival

The Quilombo de Santana in Conceição da Barra, Espírito São Pedro, will hold the second edition of the Festival Quilombola from 7 to 9 August 2026. Organized by the Associação Mulheres de Fibra in partnership with Adetur, the event aims to celebrate Afro‑Brazilian culture, promote community‑based tourism and showcase traditional knowledge.

A highlight of the three‑day program is the “Maior Feijoada Quilombola do Espírito Santo,” prepared from ancestral recipes passed down through generations. Visitors will also experience Jongo, Reis de Boi, music performances, craft fairs and workshops at the Casa das Mulheres de Fibra, a regional hub for creative economy and sustainable fibre‑based products. Governor Ricardo Ferraço confirmed his attendance. The festival is supported by Sebrae Espírito Santo, the municipal government, Banco do Nordeste and several private sponsors.
