Theft rates in Conceição do Coité have risen significantly in 2026, already surpassing the total number of thefts recorded throughout 2025. Official data from the Bahia Civil Police Social Communication Office shows that 227 thefts were recorded between January 1 and July 31, 2026, compared to 206 thefts in the entirety of 2025.

Residents have reported various incidents occurring in both the urban center and rural areas, including the theft of ornamental plants.
