Concepción del Uruguay advances public hearings on Mercado 3 de Febrero restoration

The municipal Commission for Private Initiatives in Concepción del Uruguay held two public hearings to evaluate two proposals for the restoration, valorisation and commercial exploitation of the historic Mercado Municipal "3 de Febrero". The sessions followed presentations by the two bidders participating in Public Tender No. 18/2026, which concerns the comprehensive recovery of one of the city’s most emblematic heritage buildings.

Representatives from the local commercial, industrial and production centre, the Professional Council of Economic Sciences, the College of Architects of Entre Ríos, the College of Tourism Professionals of Entre Ríos and other regional bodies attended, offering non‑binding opinions, comments and questions. The Commission said these contributions will be taken into account alongside the technical‑administrative assessment of the proposals, with the hearing process concluding on the afternoon of 27 July.
