Concepción del Uruguay begins timber exports to India

The port of Concepción del Uruguay in Entre Ríos, Argentina, has commenced a new bulk export operation of pine and eucalyptus logs destined for India. The bulk carrier African Quail, which arrived from Brazil, docked at piers 14, 15, and 16 to begin loading approximately 18,000 tons of timber.

Following the loading in Concepción del Uruguay, the vessel is scheduled to travel to Ibicuy to complete its cargo, reaching a total of 30,000 tons for delivery to the port of Kandla in India. The logistics, covering everything from the cultivation forests to international commercialization, are being managed by Urcel Argentina.

Marcos Di Giuseppe, President of the Concepción del Uruguay Port Entity, stated that these operations demonstrate the port's readiness and its ability to serve as a competitive logistics node for regional production.
