Concepción del Uruguay confirms support for 2027 Carnival

The Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay has confirmed its economic support and commitment to the 2027 Carnival. During a meeting between Mayor José Lauritto, Carnival Commission President Martín Fernández, and representatives from various carnival groups, officials ratified the ongoing financial backing for both the event organization and the development of the participating comparsas.

In addition to financial aid, the local government pledged to carry out improvements to the corsódromo facilities and the workspaces used by the carnival groups. This collaborative effort aims to sustain one of the city's primary summer tourist attractions.

Regarding the 2027 schedule, preliminary dates suggest the festivities will begin on Saturday, February 6, and continue through February 8, coinciding with the Carnival holiday, followed by Saturdays on February 13, 20, and 27. The program will also include the selection of carnival ambassadors. To promote the event, four pre-carnival activities are planned, with two scheduled for December and two for January.
