Concepción del Uruguay grants subsidy for Down Syndrome Association sports court

The Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay has provided a non-reimbursable subsidy of 22 million pesos to the Down Syndrome Association (ASDCU) to fund the construction of a sports court at its headquarters on Lacava 140.

Authorized by Ordinance No. 11.834, the project involves building a 301.28-square-meter reinforced concrete court. Prior to construction, the site will undergo clearing and filling work. The new facility is intended to host physical education, postural gymnastics, and outdoor recreational activities for the children and youth served by the association, as well as institutional events and celebrations.

Mayor José Lauritto delivered the funds and toured the facilities alongside ASDCU President Alicia Zabal. ASDCU, founded in 1997, operates as an interdisciplinary center providing specialized support, social inclusion, and emotional assistance to people with disabilities and their families.
