Concepción del Uruguay house fire destroys home

A large fire completely destroyed a precarious dwelling in Concepción del Uruguay on Friday evening. The incident occurred at the intersection of Chañar Viejo and La Delfina, near the former landfill area.

Volunteer firefighters and police responded to the scene, working to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby structures. While the house contained a large amount of clothing and a gas cylinder—which reportedly exploded before firefighters arrived—no injuries or fatalities were reported as the home was unoccupied at the time. The owner, Norma Alaman, returned to find the property entirely destroyed. Neighbors and relatives have begun collecting donations to assist the victim, who lost all her belongings. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
