Concepción del Uruguay implements road repairs and LED lighting upgrades

The Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay has launched a series of infrastructure improvement projects focused on road maintenance and public lighting.

A new road repair plan has commenced, targeting 21 locations across various neighborhoods, including La Quilmes, San José, La Concepción, Mataderos, Puerto Viejo, and Puerto Nuevo. Notably, this initiative includes repairs on cobblestone streets for the first time, starting with Diez Figueras street in the Mataderos neighborhood. The works also address areas with damaged asphalt or issues caused by water utility connections.

In parallel, the city has upgraded the lighting system on Bulevar Sansoni, a primary access avenue, by installing 56 new columns and 77 LED luminaires. This project is part of a broader municipal effort that has already seen the installation of approximately 1,200 columns and the replacement of over 10,000 luminaires with LED technology to improve urban coverage and safety.
