Concepción del Uruguay Industrial Park hosts student visit

Students from Escuela Secundaria N.º 8 ‘María América Barbosa’ in Gualeguaychú visited the Concepción del Uruguay Industrial Park (PICU) and the MCH metalworking plant to learn about industrial processes and production.

The delegation, including students from various years and the Economics and Administration Bachillerato, was received by Diego Gaillard, the municipal Director of Production and president of CoMPICU. During the visit, students received information regarding the management of the industrial park, the requirements for establishing companies, and the regional economic advantages of such facilities. They also explored the professional profiles required by the industry and local academic offerings.

At the MCH plant, technical engineers guided the students through production lines, demonstrating the technology and machinery used to manufacture equipment for the poultry and swine sectors. The tour covered design, manufacturing, and logistics, helping students identify educational opportunities aligned with industrial demands.
