Concepción del Uruguay launches audiovisual location survey

Concepción del Uruguay has launched an initiative to survey and register city locations to serve as potential settings for future audiovisual productions. This project aims to create an organized catalog of buildings, landscapes, urban spaces, and historical sectors to be presented to the IAAER, the National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA), and various industry producers.

The survey, driven by the Film Commission (an organ of the IAAER) in collaboration with the Municipal Directorate of Culture, seeks to highlight the city's diverse natural and architectural heritage. Targeted locations include the Isla del Puerto, Puerto Nuevo, the Basilica, historical buildings, the Autódromo, the CEF, local routes, ranches, thermal baths, and the Industrial Park.

Beyond cultural promotion, the initiative is expected to stimulate the local economy by attracting film crews, which in turn supports sectors such as hospitality, gastronomy, transportation, and local services, while creating job opportunities for technicians, artists, and cultural industry workers.
