Concepción del Uruguay implements community health and cultural initiatives

The Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay is launching several community-focused programs. In collaboration with Alcoholics Anonymous, the Mental Health Directorate will conduct a series of activities throughout November at various Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS). This “Month Without Alcohol” initiative aims to raise awareness about alcoholism as a disease and provide information on available therapeutic resources.

Additionally, the Secretariat of Health, Disability, and Human Rights recently conducted an integrated sanitary operation at the former FAPU site. This interdisciplinary effort provided services ranging from animal and environmental health to support for senior citizens, specifically targeting vulnerable or remote areas of the city to better understand community needs.

In the cultural and economic sector, Mayor José Eduardo Lauritto delivered financial support to various local organizations. Recipients included the organizers of Universo Expo Tattoo, the adventure group Origen Aventura Natural, and the Ferro Club, in recognition of their contributions to the city’s tourism, sports, and cultural landscape.
