Concepción del Uruguay reinforces child protection and educational initiatives
The Municipality of Concepción del Uruguay is strengthening policies for the integral protection and care of children through its Directorate of Education and Municipal Child Development Centers. The Sirirí Municipal Child Development Center in the Rocamora neighborhood currently supports 40 children aged 1 to 3, focusing on autonomy, expression, and healthy development through nutrition, hygiene, and emotional support.
Additionally, the Municipal Directorate of Culture is utilizing the ‘Cine y Comunidad’ program to engage students with social issues. Fifth and sixth-grade students from School No. 92 recently viewed the documentary ‘Camino a la Escuela’ at the Community Integration Center (CIC). The screening aimed to foster reflection on the global challenges children face in accessing education and the importance of the right to learn.
