Concepción del Uruguay to host historical parade honoring Justo José de Urquiza
A historical parade will be held in Concepción del Uruguay on Sunday, October 25, to honor General Justo José de Urquiza, the first constitutional president of Argentina. The event, starting at 10:00 AM in Plaza Ramírez, commemorates three significant anniversaries: the 225th anniversary of Urquiza's birth, the 200th anniversary of Concepción del Uruguay being elevated to city status, and the 175th anniversary of the ‘Histórico Pronunciamiento de Urquiza’.
The ceremony will feature the participation of the Granaderos a Caballo Regiment and its Alto Perú Military Fanfare, the 1st Infantry Regiment ‘Patricios’ and its ‘Tambor de Tacuarí’ military band, the Argentine Army, security forces, civil institutions, and educational establishments from the Uruguay department.
A major highlight of the day will be the simultaneous performance of five military and police bands, including the Entre Ríos Police Band and the Blandengues Tank Cavalry Regiment Band. The musical program is expected to include the Argentine National Anthem, the March of Entre Ríos, the March of San Lorenzo, and the Anthem of Concepción del Uruguay, accompanied by the Municipal Stable Choir.
