Concepción del Uruguay to host parade honoring General Urquiza

Concepción del Uruguay is preparing for the Week of Tribute to General Justo José de Urquiza, the first Constitutional President of Argentina. The celebrations will feature a diverse cultural agenda, culminating in a major civic-military parade on Sunday, October 25, at 10:00 AM in Plaza Ramírez.

Mayor José Lauritto has coordinated with Governor Rogelio Frigerio, who has been invited to preside over the event. The mayor has also met with local leaders from Tala and Colonia San Cipriano to encourage regional participation. The event aims to strengthen community ties through the commemoration of a key figure in Argentine history.

The parade is expected to include the Regimiento de Granaderos a Caballo and its Alto Perú Military Fanfare, the 1st Infantry Regiment “Patricios” with its “Tambor de Tacuarí” band, the Argentine Army, security forces, civil institutions, and educational establishments from across the Uruguay Department.
