The U16 women's football team from the Concepción del Uruguay Football League has traveled to Chajarí to compete in the Entre Ríos provincial championship. The delegation, which includes players, technical staff, officials, and parents, received financial support from the local municipality to cover travel expenses.

Local officials, including Mayor José Eduardo Lauritto, met with the team to offer support. The team has a strong history in this tournament, having won the title in Villaguay in 2023 and securing a runner-up position in La Paz the previous year.

Alejandro Recagno, president of the League, highlighted the regional development of women's football, noting that the U10 category is treated as purely formative to encourage participation. Local tournaments for the U12, U14, and U16 categories are also concluding this weekend.
