Concepción Receives Land for New Polideportivo Bonilla
The Chilean Ministry of National Assets handed over a 17,000‑square‑metre parcel of fiscal land on Avenida General Bonilla to the Municipality of Concepción for free use. The hand‑over ceremony, attended by Minister Catalina Parot Donoso and Mayor Héctor Muñoz Uribe, formalised the transfer of the previously idle lot.
The municipality plans to begin construction of the Polideportivo Bonilla this year, with a three‑year, phased rollout overseen by the Secretariat of Communal Planning (Secplan) and involving community participation. Municipal budget allocations have already been earmarked for initial works and site modifications.
