Concerns raised over civil protection and emergency services in Italy

In Crotone, local councilor Gaetano has raised questions regarding whether the Antica Kroton urban redevelopment project interferes with municipal civil protection plans. The concerns focus on three specific areas designated for emergency use: Via Israele (A65), Gravina (A25), and Campitella (B15). The councilor emphasized that these areas are vital operational resources for population shelter and emergency vehicle staging, arguing that urban planning must not compromise public safety.

Separately, in Sassari, emergency medical organizations including ANPAS Sardegna, the Regional Federation of the Misericordie of Sardinia, and AVIS have reported critical organizational issues at the Santissima Annunziata hospital. They claim ambulances are being blocked at the emergency room for hours, preventing crews from returning to service. This delay forces the 118 emergency center to recall vehicles from neighboring municipalities, potentially leaving local territories without available emergency transport.
