Concertgoer Dies After Brain Injury at Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach

David Granado Jr. attended the Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach on July 26, 2026. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, was taken to a hospital by a private medical service, and died on July 31.

The Long Beach Police Department’s preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play, but a full investigation and a medical examiner’s autopsy are ongoing. Representatives for the Vans Warped Tour have not commented. The festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary, will continue with upcoming dates in Montreal, Mexico City, Orlando, Washington, D.C., and a return to Long Beach next year.
