Concerts in Colombia and Ecuador Celebrate Local Culture

In La Unión, Colombia, conductor Ana María Patiño Osorio returned to her hometown to lead the Filarmónica de Medellín (Filarmed) in a concert that highlighted the town’s musical development and honored her career. Hundreds attended, and the municipal administration presented Patiño Osorio with a special recognition for her artistic and educational contributions.

In Guayaquil, Ecuador, the Orquesta Filarmónica Municipal performed a gala at the Centro Cultural Olmedo to mark the centenary of the Congregación de las Hermanas de María de Schoenstatt. Directed by José María Álvarez, the concert featured works by Arriaga, Schubert, Julio Bueno and Arturo Márquez and drew hundreds of citizens, underscoring the city’s commitment to cultural programming.
