CONCODE announces Graytail release for late 2027

Korean indie developer CONCODE has confirmed that its mystery action-adventure game, Graytail, is scheduled for release in late 2027. The announcement, made during the ID@Xbox x IGN showcase, included a new trailer showcasing the game’s 2.5D visual style and footage from the currently developing Chapter 3.

CONCODE has secured development funding from Outersloth, an indie game fund operated by Innersloth, the developer of Among Us. The investment round also included Casey Yano of Mega Crit Games, the creator of Slay the Spire. Outersloth provides financial support while allowing developers to retain full ownership of their intellectual property and creative direction.

Graytail follows a detective suffering from severe headaches who teams up with a pilot’s daughter to investigate the disappearance of a famous female pilot in the Pacific. Players will explore five regions using a motorbike and a variety of weapons, including a cane, an umbrella, and a frisbees, to solve puzzles. The title has already amassed 50,000 Steam wishlists and maintains a 98% “Very Positive” rating for its demo.

With the new funding, the studio plans to refine combat systems and increase story density. The current demo will conclude in November 2026, to be replaced by a new version featuring updated combat. The full game will launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox PC, with support for Xbox Play Anywhere.
