Concordia advances housing construction for flood-prone families

Construction is underway in the Agua Patito neighborhood of Concordia to provide housing for families living in areas vulnerable to the rising waters of the Uruguay River. The project involves 15 homes being built through a collaboration between the Entre Ríos provincial government, via the Instituto Autárquico de Planeamiento y Vivienda (IAPV), and the Municipality of Concordia.

Mayor Francisco Azcué and Public Works Secretary Fernando Esquibel recently inspected the site, noting that the works are approximately 70% complete. If weather conditions permit, the homes are expected to be finished and occupied before the end of the year. These units are designed to be high-quality residences equipped with all necessary services.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to relocate families from flood-prone sectors. Following the delivery of previous units in 2025, local authorities are managing the construction of an additional 16 units, with the goal of providing safe housing to a total of 40 families.
