Concordia boosts tourism with special culinary event at Castillo San Carlos

On Saturday at 11 a.m., the historic Castillo San Carlos in Concordia will host a special gastronomic showcase that blends heritage, natural surroundings and regional flavors. Renowned chef Maxi Arias, five‑time national champion of the “Comida al Disco de Arado,” will prepare a fish‑cooked‑in‑the‑disc dish served over risotto and citrus gremolata, which will then be shared with attendees. The program also includes artistic performances, regional product tastings and prize draws, aimed at families and visitors.

Concordia continues to promote its main attractions, including daily tours of the castle, the historic Naranjal de Pereda, winery routes, field‑day experiences and its thermal complexes, which remain a major draw for wellness tourism. The city also highlights its architectural heritage on the Argentine Art Nouveau Route and thematic circuits such as the Railway Circuit and the Eastern Exodus Trail. Meanwhile, the municipal Emergency Operations Committee, led by Mayor Francisco Azcué, monitors El Niño conditions and coordinates preventive actions to safeguard the region’s development.
