Concordia Employers' Confederation opens permanent Brussels office
The Concordia Employers' Confederation, led by businessman Dan Șucu, has opened a permanent representative office in Brussels to increase the influence of Romanian companies on European Union decision-making. The move aims to provide a direct channel for the Romanian business community to participate in the formulation of EU policies before they become mandatory.
Managed by Adelina Dabu, Director of European and International Affairs, the office will act as an institutional dialogue channel with major networks such as BusinessEurope, the European Economic and Social Committee, and EU institutions. It will also coordinate economic relations with global organizations in Paris and Geneva.
The confederation intends to focus on critical legislative files, including the EU budget and financing for the 2028–2034 multiannual period, as well as efforts to reduce bureaucracy and simplify regulations. Dan Șucu emphasized that the presence in Brussels is necessary to ensure that the specific needs of Romanian companies regarding energy prices, access to capital, and labor legislation are heard by European officials.
