Concordia hosts memory and human rights cultural event

The “Canciones y poemas por la Memoria” event was held at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN) Regional Concordia, organized by local artists, the UTN Student Center, and the Multisectorial por los Derechos Humanos de Concordia. The gathering served as a precursor to the IV Provincial Human Rights Meeting scheduled for next year.

Performers utilized music and poetry to reflect on history, featuring works by artists such as Charly García, León Gieco, Luis Alberto Spinetta, and Fito Paez, alongside poetry from Juan Gelman and Mario Benedetti. The event drew a multi-generational audience, particularly students from various academic institutions.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the civic-military coup, the UTN unveiled a commemorative plaque at its regional faculties to reaffirm its institutional commitment to democracy and human rights. The ceremony was marked by collective chants of “Nunca Más”.
