Concordia: Infant burned by neighbor throwing hot water

A three-month-old baby suffered first and second-degree burns on the arm, chest, and leg after a neighbor threw hot water from a thermos at the infant in Concordia, Argentina.

The incident occurred on a Friday morning at a residence on 11 de Noviembre Street while the baby was under the care of relatives. The attack also resulted in injuries to two adults and led to a confrontation between neighbors, requiring police intervention to restore order.

The infant was treated at the Hospital Delicia Concepción Masvernat and has since returned home to continue recovery. The suspect was initially transferred to the mental health unit at Hospital Felipe Heras by order of the Prosecutor's Office, but has since been discharged and returned to her residence. This has caused significant concern among the victim's family, who are demanding protective measures. Police have increased patrols in the area as a judicial investigation proceeds.
