Concordia officials resume duties and undergo political shifts
In Concordia, Mayor José Luis Salomón has resumed his duties following a one-week leave of absence. During his absence, Alejandro Armendáriz, president of the Deliberative Council, served as interim mayor. Salomón’s trip to the United States, specifically visiting Missouri, Indiana, and Illinois, was part of an international program on local development organized by the Red de Innovación Local (RIL) and CREA.
Separately, political shifts are occurring within the Salto Grande Mixed Technical Commission delegation. Guillermo Daniel Marcone, a member of the Movimiento de Integración y Desarrollo (MID), has been formally designated by national decree to replace Juan Carlos Chagas. This follows the departure of Fátima Arce from the Ceremonial and Protocol Directorate, a move linked to the political restructuring within the MID and the administration of Governor Rogelio Frigerio.
