CONCyTEQ receives 17.9 million pesos for science and technology
The Querétaro State Council for Science and Technology (CONCyTEQ) has received 17,904,660.75 pesos to bolster science, technology, and innovation projects within the state. The funds originate from economic sanctions imposed on political parties by electoral authorities.
Martha Soto, the state Secretary of Education, received the funds from Grisel Muñiz Rodríguez, the presidental counselor of the Querétaro State Electoral Institute (IEEQ). The allocation is intended to support several regional initiatives, including the “El Péndulo” Planetarium and Immersion Room, the Xhany Itinerant Museum, the Science Fair, and the New Scientific and Technological Talents Program.
Additional projects slated for support include the Querétaro Prize for Science, Technology, and Innovation, as well as the Regional Botanical Garden of Cadereyta. Officials noted that the transfer follows legal mandates established by the IEEQ and the Electoral Tribunal of the State of Querétaro (TEEQ).
