Condor and American Airlines sign transatlantic interline agreement

Condor and American Airlines have signed an interline agreement to expand transatlantic connection options for passengers. The partnership allows travelers to book combined itineraries on a single ticket, featuring integrated check-in and through-checked baggage to final destinations.

American Airlines customers will be able to connect to Condor’s direct flights to Frankfurt from over 150 cities via gateways in Boston, New York (JFK), and Los Angeles. Starting in May 2027, Chicago O’Hare will be added as a fourth gateway when Condor launches a seasonal Frankfurt-Chicago route.

Conversely, Condor passengers arriving in Frankfurt or Munich can connect to American Airlines’ North American network with protected connections. In the event of delays causing missed connections, the two airlines will coordinate itinerary re-protection. This agreement is part of Condor’s broader 2026 strategy to accelerate international partnerships, following recent agreements with carriers such as Etihad, EVA Air, Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and Qantas.
