Condor delays Frankfurt–Tbilisi route resumption to 2027

German airline Condor has postponed the resumption of its flight route between Frankfurt and Tbilisi, Georgia. Originally scheduled to restart on June 15, 2026, the service is now slated to begin on May 2, 2027.

The route will be operated via a wet-lease agreement using Embraer E190 regional aircraft provided by German Airways, including crew. Condor plans to scale service gradually, starting with four weekly flights, increasing to five, and eventually aiming for daily connections by late May 2027.

In a separate strategic shift, Condor is also testing new service concepts for its short and medium-haul city routes. Following the termination of a feeder contract by Lufthansa, the airline has expanded into European city destinations. To manage the challenges of limited flight times on ultra-short routes, the company is evaluating service models for in-flight amenities, including how water and beverages are distributed in the Economy Class.
