Condor opens technical training center in Mörfelden-Walldorf

Condor has inaugurated a new technical training center in Mörfelden-Walldorf to address the industry-wide shortage of skilled labor in aviation technology. The approximately 1,000-square-meter facility integrates theoretical instruction with practical application, featuring a large workshop area equipped with workbenches and machinery.

The center is designed to train up to 15 apprentices per year. Currently, the program focuses on aircraft mechanics specializing in maintenance technology, with an initial cohort of twelve students having already started in August 2026. Starting in 2027, Condor plans to expand the curriculum to include manufacturing technology and aircraft electronics.

Heiko Holm, CTO of Condor and Managing Director of Condor Technik GmbH, stated that investing in in-house training allows the company to instill its specific working methods and quality standards from the beginning. The initiative aims to secure long-term technical expertise necessary for maintaining high aircraft maintenance standards.
