GoldQuest Mining reports high‑grade copper‑gold discovery at Cachimbo, Dominican Republic

GoldQuest Mining Corp. announced new results from its exploration program at the Cachimbo target in the Cordillera Central of the Dominican Republic. Drill hole TIR‑26‑62 intersected 12.15 metres of massive polymetallic mineralization with average grades of 8.60 g/t gold, 128.2 g/t silver, 0.77 % copper, 11.21 % zinc and 0.34 % lead. A 3.35‑metre interval recorded exceptionally high zinc concentrations of 35.85 % and a sample that exceeded the laboratory’s detection limit with more than 40 % zinc. The results confirm the continuity of a high‑grade volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) system and suggest potential extension of the mineralized corridor toward the northwest for about 7.5 km. CEO Luis Santana said the drilling provides additional geological information that strengthens the understanding of the polymetallic system. Earlier drilling (TIR‑26‑58) had shown comparable grades, reinforcing the prospect’s significance for the company’s Dominican operations and for investors, including a notable Dominican shareholder group.
