CONDUSEF launches 19th National Financial Education Week in Mexico
The 19th edition of the National Financial Education Week (SNEF) has commenced in Mexico City, running from October 15 to 18. Organized by the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF), the event features free workshops, conferences, and activities held both in person at the Monumento a la Revolución and virtually.
During the inauguration, María del Carmen Bonilla, Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit, noted that 37% of the adult population in Mexico experiences high levels of financial stress. The event aims to provide tools for managing income, anticipating risks, and improving decision-making regarding personal resources.
Under the theme “¿Qué película financiera te cuentas?”, the program includes sessions on credit management, financial resilience, and the emotional aspects of money. Participants and speakers include representatives from various public and private institutions, such as BBVA, Banorte, Nubank, and Círculo de Crédito. CONDUSEF President Oscar Rosado Jiménez emphasized that financial well-being depends on how resources are utilized to improve quality of life rather than just the amount of income earned.
