Confartigianato Imprese celebrates 80 years at the European Parliament
Confartigianato Imprese celebrated its 80th anniversary with a high-level event at the European Parliament in Brussels. The milestone event aimed to advocate for the interests of Italian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within European Union institutions.
Led by President Marco Granelli, the delegation met with key European officials, including European Parliament Vice-Presidents Antonella Sberna and Pina Picierno, and European Commission Executive Vice-President Raffaele Fitto. A central theme of the discussions was the importance of the ‘Think Small First’ principle, which advocates for European regulations to account for the specific needs and characteristics of smaller businesses from their inception.
The celebration highlighted the role of craftsmanship and SMEs as the backbone of the Italian economy and emphasized the necessity of ensuring these businesses have a voice in the decision-making processes in Brussels that directly impact their daily operations.
