Confcommercio appoints new fashion president and launches summer street‑sale event in Veneto
Maria Mottes, a retailer from central Belluno, was elected president of the Moda group of Confcommercio Belluno‑Dolomiti, succeeding Angela De Min. In her opening remarks she highlighted the sector’s struggle against online competition and called for equal market rules, supportive fiscal policies and municipal measures to revitalise historic town centres.
Separately, Confcommercio Udine opened registrations until 31 July for “Lo Sbaracco – Summer Edition” scheduled for 5 September. The initiative will turn streets and squares in Udine’s historic centre into open‑air sale venues where participating shops can display remaining summer stock at additional discounts. Organisers will provide promotional kits and liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance.
