Confcommercio commissioner meets Riesi mayor to boost local commerce

On July 27 in Riesi, Italy, Confcommercio En‑CL commissioner Carlo Varchi, who oversees the Mazzarino, Butera and Roesj districts, met with mayor Salvatore Sardella and economic‑development assessor Enrico Riggio. The discussion focused on strengthening the town’s commercial fabric through a range of training courses—including food‑store licensing, workplace safety, first‑aid and other professional programmes—provided by the national association.

Confcommercio highlighted its services that will be extended locally, and operator Leonardo Di Carlo, already active in Riesi, will continue to deliver targeted training and guidance. Both municipal officials welcomed the proposals, pledged support, and plan to set up a calendar of training events and a dedicated business‑orientation desk to help merchants reduce bureaucratic hurdles and improve their offerings.
