Confederaciones Rurales Argentinas challenges new CNV fund transfer rule

Confederaciones Rurales Argentinas (CRA) has challenged a new regulation from the Comisión Nacional de Valores (CNV) regarding the handling of funds in the capital markets. The new rule, General Resolution 1166/2026, mandates that the receipt and delivery of client funds must be conducted via bank transfers or virtual accounts to ensure traceability and immediate availability, effectively moving away from the use of physical and electronic checks.

CRA President Carlos Castagnani criticized the measure, linking the shift toward increased banking activity to higher costs associated with the Tax on Bank Credits and Debits. The organization is calling for a reduction in tax burdens and bureaucracy to support production.
