Confeitaria JH and Antonio Bachour open new confectionery venues in Brazil

Confeitaria JH will host a free tasting event on 4 August in Marília, Brazil. The event, held at Régus Marília CW15 in the city centre, showcases the bakery’s new line of artisanal sweets, including grape, strawberry and Oreo bonbons and a strawberry cheesecake. Visitors can sample the products and learn about the brand’s focus on premium ingredients and handcrafted production.

Chef Antonio Bachour, a three‑time World’s Best Pastry Chef, has opened a permanent shop called Bachour by Mata in the Mata São Paulo complex in São Paulo. The venue occupies a 274‑square‑metre space with a mosaic‑styled floor and wooden‑paneled ceiling, and offers both desserts and savory dishes such as brunch sandwiches and main‑course plates. Bachour, originally from Puerto Rico, also runs pastry shops in Miami and Mérida, and his new São Paulo location makes the city the third worldwide to host a line of his signature sweets.
