Confelp celebrates tenth anniversary in Giardini Naxos
The European Confederation of Workers and Pensioners (Confelp) celebrated its tenth anniversary during a convention in Giardini Naxos, Italy. The event highlighted the organization's growth from a nascent idea to a nationally recognized trade union with over 200 offices across 15 regions.
Founder and Secretary General Turi Orlando attended the event, with his speech delivered by actor Daniele Segalin. National Secretary and co-founder Antonio Valastro noted that the organization is now a signatory to national collective agreements and is active in areas such as training, legality, and the protection of workers and retirees.
The convention included institutional greetings, including a message from Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni delivered by Renato Loiero, and well-wishes from Undersecretary for Labor Claudio Durigon. The program featured roundtables focused on territorial presence and future strategies, concluding with the launch of the ‘Confelp 2036’ initiative.
