Italy: Local community initiatives and maritime industry developments

Various local and national initiatives are unfolding across Italy. In Vico Mele, the Municipio Centro Est is launching a series of community events in Piazza De Franchi to reclaim public spaces from illegal activities and drug dealing through social engagement.

In the maritime sector, the fifth edition of the Blue Marina Awards will conclude in Rome on October 21. The ceremony, held in partnership with ASSONAT-Confcommercio, evaluates the quality, sustainability, and innovation of Italian tourist ports using scientific indicators verified by RINA.
