RemTech Expo marks 20th anniversary in Ferrara

The 20th edition of RemTech Expo has opened in Ferrara, serving as an international technological hub for environmental remediation, land regeneration, and territorial protection. The event brings together approximately 300 companies, 500 experts, and an expected 10,000 visitors to discuss critical issues such as climate change, hydrogeological instability, and strategic raw materials.

Key participants include representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, alongside the Italian Armed Forces. The program features international appointments including the Sustainathon, a climate bilateral between Italy and Central America, and Africa Days focused on critical raw materials.

Roberto Troncarelli, president of the National Council of Geologists, emphasized the need for a cultural shift toward structural rather than emergency-based funding to address natural risks like seismic and hydraulic threats. Silvia Paparella, general manager of RemTech Expo, highlighted the importance of the public-private partnership in building expertise and trust over the last two decades.
