congatec and EFCO Technology expand partnership for APAC embedded systems

congatec, a provider of embedded and edge computing technology, has announced an expansion of its aReady. YOURS partner program through a strategic partnership with Taiwan-based EFCO Technology. The announcement was made at Automation Taipei.

Building on a 20-year collaboration, the partnership aims to provide application-specific and customized system solutions for OEMs across the APAC region. congatec provides computing cores, including Computer-on-Modules (COMs) and low-level software building blocks such as operating systems and IoT connectivity solutions. EFCO complements this by offering custom system designs, including carrier boards, application-specific interfaces, robust housing solutions, and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS).

The cooperation primarily targets OEMs in industrial automation, specifically focusing on applications like Industrial PCs (IPCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). By using validated reference solutions, OEMs can reduce development effort and design risks while accelerating time-to-market.
