AJE Cuenca Congelados Margabal entrepreneurship awards Cuenca business young entrepreneurs

Cecilia and Carmen Martínez Monedero, leaders of Distribuidora de Congelados Margabal in Motilla del Palancar, have been named winners of the 13th edition of the AJE Young Entrepreneur Award in Cuenca. The awards ceremony was held at the Church of Santo Domingo de Silos in Alarcón, organized by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs and CEOE CEPYME Cuenca with support from the Provincial Council of Cuenca, Unicaja Banco, and Sanitas.

In addition to the main prize, five thematic accessit awards were presented to recognize regional business talent:

• Social Impact: María Elena Valero (Pequeños Cuidados, Cuenca). • Circular Economy: Iñaki Santos (Solar Waves, Villalba). • Business Development: Fran Martínez (5 Sentidos and La Dulcería, Cuenca). • Business Future: Eduardo Ortega (Señorito Ortega, Cuenca). • Internationalization: Fergonvi (Villarta).

The event highlighted the role of young entrepreneurs in driving economic growth and employment in the province, leveraging the region's strategic location and the benefits of digitalization in rural areas.
